A Chance To Establish The Run Against Authoritarianism
Let's help those facing immediate economic hardship after the regime's occupation of Minnesota
The president's kinder, gentler extraconstitutional secret police are at least pretending their occupation of Minnesota is over, or almost over. That, of course, doesn't mean the people besieged by this maniacal force are in the clear.
Families who have been unable to work and earn money over the past month (because the regime follows the orders of fascist chuds on the X platform formerly known as Twitter) are now facing real and immediate economic hardship. Rents and credit card bills and utility bills will go unpaid. Untold thousands of hard-working families who have spent the past few weeks hiding from regime forces will be threatened with eviction because they simply don't have the cash.
It's tragedy compounded by tragedy.
Bad Faith Times faithful have an opportunity in the coming weeks to establish the run against the authoritarian terror campaign against the people of Minnesota, who bravely resisted their occupiers with calm and restraint that one might describe as unfathomable. I do, anyway. For BFT readers who can spare an extra few bucks here and there, I would urge you to donate to the various organizations trying to help Minnesota families through a terribly difficult time.

If you'd like to help Minnesota families facing eviction after the horrors of the past thirty days, check out the rent relief funds operated by the good folks at Stand With Minnesota, a group for which I van vouch. These relief funds include help for daycare staffers who have been unable to work during the barbaric Trump siege, a Lutheran church helping congregants get by financially, and emergency food, rent assistance, and emotional support to immigrant fathers.
Here's a way to help 17 Minneapolis families afford groceries and other resources in the coming weeks. There are many ways to help, and every dollar will be needed if these families are going to survive the terrorizing of their communities by a regime that hates the United States. If you're unable to go the financial route, there are other ways to help: Offering words of encouragement to people in Minnesota, ditching your Ring camera, reaching out to your congressional representatives, and preparing your community for a potential secret police occupation in the coming months.

Establish the run is unglamorous. It's usually grinding work that requires everyone to do a little bit here and there if a football team is to gain yards, a few at a time, to advance slowly against the opposition. Alex Pretti was certainly establishing the run before he was executed by secret police who returned to the scene to count the bullet wounds in Pretti's body. He was doing the small stuff, and he died for it.
Imagine for a moment the feeling of solidarity our support might engender in immigrant families who came to the US for a better life and were subsequently hunted down by masked, heavily-armed government agents. We should let these folks know we support them, in whatever way we can. They are human beings, and as human beings, they are deserving of dignity and respect. Establish the run today and give them that much.
